Words on: The Friday Night
You know you’ve discovered a special niche event when you end up at some shifty, back alley joint that describes itself as a “spanish NITE club”. This is where Bun & Toast ventured to this Friday night when attending the 2nd JINGLE JANGLE event - a night of retro beats and reminiscent tunes. The actual gig was held in an awkward back room, which was dimly lit and decorated...

Words on: Penguin Plays Rough
Bun & Toast ventured to the mysterious cranny of a space nestled above a convenience store in Newtown - where the Penguin Plays Rough nights are held. This night is all about independent writers, listening and sitting cross legged on hardwood floors. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to read their pieces. We heard an eclectic mix of bizarre short stories, film noir spoofs and delicious to hear...

Words on: The Balloon Party
Bun & Toast began their night like any normal teenager; at a warehouse party filled to the brim with hormonal kids, deafening music and alcoholic consumption. However, once the duo made their exit they decided to throw their own impromptu street party.

Words on: The Late Night Aquarium
Bun & Toast ventured one night to the Sydney Aquarium. It was 10pm, and if it hadn’t been for the night-shift janitor they may have not been allowed in. The two girls moseyed amongst the tentacled creatures, the sharp-toothed monsters and the fluttering fish until the lights were pulled and all went pitch black.

Words on: The Halloween Special
Halloween has to be Bun & Toast’s favourite holiday of the year. But a lot of effort has to be put in to ressurrect the Halloween spirit when you live down under. Join in on a night of Halloween mayhem as Bun & Toast dress up like ghouls, wrap little kids in toilet paper, eat jelly full of teeth and get lost in underground carpark labyrinths.
